On the 4th of April 2016, the Health & Safety Work Act (HSWA) came in to force in to New Zealand. The HSWA states that everyone has a role to play in ensuring workers make it home safely at the end of every day. Businesses have the primary responsibility for the health and safety of their workers and any other workers they influence or direct. They are also responsible for the health and safety of people at risk from the work of their business.
